About Levanta Ministries

Many years of mission work and hearing personal testimonies of domestic violence victims in Central America, laid a road map for the vision of Levanta Ministries. Our heart to fulfill the Great Commission and the greatest commandment within this growing population of those affected by domestic violence, and our belief in the power of God to save and heal what sin has broken led us to found Levanta Ministries, a registered 501c3 since 2018.
When we began to look strategically, at how to impact this crisis of domestic violence for Christ we realized we needed to take a two-arm approach to help extend our reach in confronting domestic violence issues.  Everything we do falls under two pillars, Protection and Prevention.

A desperate need...

We saw a desperate and immediate need to provide a safe haven for women and children whose lives are in grave danger.  Not only to offer a bed to sleep in and food for their children, we wanted to show them in a comprehensive way, the hope we have in Christ for today and eternity.  This part of the vision for the ministry is the driving force, in honor of the women God brought into our path and their personal testimonies that ultimately led us to act.  This is the arm of our ministry that we refer to as Protection. Our Prevention work is designed to cut this crisis off at the source.

Our team

Now, not only do we provide a safe haven for women and children whose lives are in danger, but we also reach into the communities where domestic violence is most prevalent and offer biblical programs designed to break the chains of violence in the hearts of men.
This work could not be done without our Costa Rican partners and we praise God for their faithfulness and wisdom as they prayerfully carry out the work God has shown us to do together. By God’s guidance and overwhelming grace, we have developed a program of safety and healing.
