Activities at Levanta Ministry

     Taller XY is a workshop for men to help them define their identity, assume their responsibility, and redeem their character. It includes an 8 week course and 1 full-day workshop every week.

     Counseling is at the heart of this ministry. It is where one on one teaching takes place as well as walking hand in hand with both the victims and the aggressors. These relationships are where discipleship and evangelism thrive.
     Both the victim and the aggressors are suffering from the sin of domestic violence and both need grace, truth and transformation. We know that changed or modified behavior can be temporary but a changed heart is forever and only Jesus has the power to do that. For that reason, He is at the heart of everything we do.

     We have had the joy of seeing marriages restored through true repentance and forgiveness.

     Our weekly podcasts are designed to address the root cause of domestic violence and family difficulties through a renewing of the mind by a growing knowledge of Truth. They offer sound teaching for men, women, and the local church. Our podcasts are being downloaded in the U.S., Central and South America, Europe and Asia as this desperate population group all over the world searches for help.

     Our YouTube channel and Blog provides Spanish language resources to the our natives readers about the domestic abuse and the Bible.

     Casa de Entrevista is our center of operations. A place of peace, a meeting center, recording studio, counseling and ministry office and temporary safe-house for families in immediate danger.

     Annual Community Conferences are a celebration of the the peace and refuge that only God can give through the awareness of the local church and its role in society.

     “Refuge City” is a project that we haven’t been able to realize due to funding. We believe it was born in the heart of God. Scriptures constantly teaches us that God is our refuge. We also find in Scripture, cities of refuge where troubled people can go. Levanta works to direct people toward Him, our eternal refuge, present and complete for all who cry out to Him. Our City of Refuge goal aims to emulate this divine model. In an undisclosed location, women and their children who are traumatized and in danger of death from domestic violence can take refuge for one year. Here they will learn from the Lord and be treated spiritually, emotionally and physically. Legal advice, psychological accompaniment and job training will be provided by the power and grace of the Lord.

     In addition to being a refuge for the wounded, we aim to provide training in the principle areas of life, so that women and children who have been oppressed by sin can grow in the Lord and develop fully. Discipleship, work, education and support will be the areas where we walk with the participants of our program.
